Their 12 principles include compliance with laws, workplace regulations and working hours in accordance with local laws. Compliance with environmental rules and regulations, and also customs laws. They prohibit the use of forced labour, child labour and any forms of discrimination. WRAP ensures the workplace is safe and healthy, that there is compensation and benefits available for workers, and that there is freedom to join a worker’s association.

They are a membership organisation that provides one of the world’s leading online platforms for companies to manage and improve working conditions in global supply chains. They provide practical tools, services, and a community network to help companies improve their responsible and sustainable business practices, and source responsibly.

The Organic Content Standard (OCS) applies to any non-food product containing 95-100 percent organic material. It verifies the presence and amount of organic material in a final product and tracks the flow of the raw material from its source to the final product.

It guarantees that products are harmless to the human environment and takes into account many regulated and non-regulated substances which may be harmful to health. The Oeko-Tex certification also ensures that textile products have been manufactured in sustainable processes under environmentally friendly and socially responsible working conditions. It is a widely recognized textile standard around the globe and certifies high product safety in the global apparel and footwear industry.

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) is an European Union regulation dating from 18 December 2006. REACH addresses the production and use of chemical substances, and their potential impacts on both human health and the environment.
